How to Uninstall ClamXav

by Jason Taetsch

ClamXav software provides virus protection for your Mac OS X operating system. You'll want to remove the software before you install a new antivirus program to your Mac or if the program is not working properly and is causing errors to your system. The Mac operating system stores software in a single location, making it easy to remove applications without the use of an uninstaller utility.

1

Click the "Finder" icon on the dock and click the "Applications" folder.

2

Click the "ClamXav" entry in the list and drag the icon onto the "Trash" icon on your dock.

3

Click the "Finder" button on the menu bar and click "Empty Trash" to uninstall ClamXav from your Mac.
