How to Turn on Closed Caption on the Motorola DCH6416by Mandy Slake
The Motorola DCH6416 is a high-definition cable box capable of transmitting closed caption information to a connected television. By default, the closed captioning feature is disabled. You can enable this feature if desired through the cable box menu system. You can also modify the closed caption settings such as the font style, font size and background box color and opacity.
Power off the DCH6416.
Press the "Menu" button on the front of the cable box immediately after pressing the "Power" button. A menu will appear on the TV screen.
Press the "Down Arrow" button on the front of the DCH6416 until "Closed Caption" is highlighted.
Press the "Right Arrow" button to toggle the setting to "Enabled."
Press "Menu" or "Power" to exit the menu and save the settings.
