by Gerri Garrick

You play your latest MP3 purchase on your computer, but it sounds completely lackluster and without depth. Where's the kicking bass? You can crank up the bass on your PC' s speakers.

1

Right-click the speaker icon in the lower right-hand corner of your taskbar. Click "Playback Devices."

2

Double-click "Speakers and Headphones." Choose the "Enhancements" tab.

3

Click to put a checkmark in the box next to "Bass Boost and Low Frequency Protection." Under "Enhancement Properties," click the button labeled "Settings."

4

Adjust the "Bass Boost" and/or "Frequency." Restart your computer to hear your changes.
