The iPhone and Nokia mobile phones offer features like mobile email, Internet access, games and a camera. They also provide contact list storage, calendars and appointment setting capabilities. If you are switching from a Nokia to an iPhone, you can transfer your data either through a computer or the Nokia's SIM card. You have to save the data to the SIM card before using that transfer method. Both phones need to use AT&T for the SIM transfer to work since it is the only network that carries both phone brands.

Using Your PC

Step 1

Connect the Nokia to the computer using its USB cable. Launch Nokia PC Suite on the computer.

Step 2

Click "Synchronize." When the Nokia PC window opens, click "Settings," "Create New Settings." Complete the prompts to transfer your data.

Step 3

Attach the iPhone to the computer through its' USB cable. Open the iTunes application.

Step 4

Click the icon of the iPhone on the left pane. Select the data from the Nokia to sync with the iPhone. Click "Apply."

Step 5

Disconnect the iPhone from the computer when the transfers are complete.

Using Your SIM Card

Step 1

Select the data you want to save to the SIM card and click "Copy," "To SIM Directory."

Step 2

Remove the SIM card from the back of the Nokia phone. Place it in the iPhone's SIM card slot.

Step 3

Tap "Settings" on the iPhone. Select the types of files you want to transfer, such as "Mail" or "Games." Tap "Import From SIM." The import should retrieve all the data you saved on the Nokia SIM card.
