How to Transfer Audiobooks to iTunes

by Jason Taetsch

Transfer your audiobooks to your iTunes library so you can enjoy them on your iPhone, iPad, iPod or right from your computer. The iTunes software works as the connection point for a variety of media devices, as well as an organizer for the various digital multimedia files on your hard drive. The software has a simple upload process to transfer new files to your library.

Open the iTunes program by clicking on the "iTunes" icon on the desktop or by choosing it from the "All Programs" list.

Click the "File" button on the menu bar and click "Add to Library." A file-selection dialog will appear.

Browse to the folder that stores the audiobook. Click the audiobook file to select it and click the "Add" button to transfer the file to the iTunes interface.
