TracFone is a wireless telecommunications company based in Miami, Florida, that was established in 1996 and has become one of the nation's largest prepaid mobile service providers. TracFone telephones are exclusively branded for TracFone by the manufacturers LG, Samsung, Motorola and Kyocera. The best TracFone telephones depend on what you're looking for; and fortunately, TracFone offers units in an array of designs, features and prices to accommodate a variety of customer preferences.
Brand and Design
If the choice of your best phone is determined by its brand and/or design, TracFone offers a selection of flip phones, sliders and basic non-flip/slider units. All TracFone flip phones are compact models with color-rich displays that include the LG 410G (silver in color and rectangular in shape), 420G (black and rectangular), 600G (black with charcoal and rectangular), 220C (black with silver and rectangular), 200C (black with silver and oval), 225 (black and oval with an external antennae), 3280 (silver and oval with an external antennae), and 231C (black and rectangular); the Samsung T155G (black and rectangular); and the Motorola W260g (black and rectangular), W376g (silver and rectangular), W370 (silver with black and rectangular), V176 (blue with silver, oval with an external antennae) and V170 (silver with black and oval). All TracFones offer basic features including voice mail, caller ID, pre-loaded ring tones and wallpapers, phone book, text-messaging, airtime balance display, calendar and calculator. There are some TracFone telephones that automatically double the number of minutes added to your unit. (For example, you buy 60 minutes but 120 minutes are applied).
