The TomTom One XL GPS device has a battery life indicator, but unlike many electronic devices, it is not on the screen at all times. Instead, the battery life indicator is located on the Status Summary screen, where you can view information about the number of satellites the device is connected to, as well as information about your trip route. Keeping an eye on the amount of battery life remaining can prevent the device from shutting down in the middle of a trip.

1

Tap the GPS signal strength bars in the lower right corner of the screen to open the Status Summary screen.

2

Locate the battery icon, which is shaped like a battery, in the upper right corner of the screen. If the entire battery icon is green, the TomTom One XL is fully charged. A battery icon that is not fully green means the battery is not fully charged.

3

Tap the "Done" button to close the Status Summary screen.
