The JVC Everio is a line of digital video cameras for consumer use. A USB port in the side of the Everio camera hooks up with a supplied audio-video cable to a compatible USB device, such as a personal computer or laptop. This connection lets you stream recorded video files from the camera to the computer for viewing, editing or storing on the hard drive. Everio cameras come with a software CD that must be installed on your PC or laptop so the computer can interact with the camera.

Place the Everio CD software supplied with your camera in the media drive of your computer.

Click the Everio prompts on your computer to install the software, then click "Finish" when the installation is complete.

Fold the LCD screen closed to the camera body to shut off the Everio.

Connect the AC power cord supplied with the camera from the jack on the back edge of the Everio to a wall outlet.

Hook up the supplied USB cable from the port on the left side of the Everio to a free USB port on the computer.

Fold open the LCD screen on the Everio to turn on the camera.

Touch the "Playback on PC" button on the Everio LCD touchscreen. Select "Browse Videos" from the new menu that appears on the screen to locate the desired video file for streaming to your computer. Touch the video file name. The Everio software launches automatically and the video file begins streaming on the computer.
