How to Sign Up for Facebook for Kids

Facebook is a social networking website that allows Internet users who meet the basic requirements to register for an account. Social media destinations such as Facebook have become quite popular among all age groups, including kids. The sign-up procedure for kids is the same as adults and can be done without a parent's consent as long as Facebook's minimum age requirement is met. Applicants must be at least 13 years old to open a Facebook account.

Open a Web browser and navigate to Facebook.com.

Enter your first name, last name, email address, password, gender and date of birth in the respective fields on the right side of the Facebook homepage.

Click "Sign Up."

Check your inbox for the email address that you provided on the Facebook signup form and wait for a confirmation email.

Click the confirmation link in the email to verify your email address and activate your account.

Log in to your new Facebook account using your email address and password.

Tip

  • check If you are under the age of 13 and sign up for an account, you are violating Facebook's terms of use and your account will promptly be removed.
