The Apple iPhone smartphone includes an advanced alarm clock that lets you set and manage multiple alarms. After setting iPhone alarms to wake you in the morning or remind you of an appointment, you can change the notification setting that controls the alarm sound, time, label, repeat function and snooze feature. Configure alarm settings in the "Clock" application that comes as a standard feature on all iPhones.

Step 1

Tap the "Clock" application button on the iPhone's home screen.

Step 2

Push the "Alarm" button on the Clock menu bar to display a list of all alarms.

Step 3

Swipe the tab to "Off" beside an alarm to disable the alarm or to the "On" position to activate the alarm.

Step 4

Tap the "Edit" button to change notification settings for existing alarms. Tap the right-arrow button beside the alarm entry to open its settings screen.

Step 5

Select your preferred alarm time from the spin-wheel that controls the alarm's hour and minutes setting.

Step 6

Tap the "Repeat" tab. Tap to select each day of the week on which you want the alarm to sound so that a check mark appears beside the selected day. Push the "Back" button to return to the alarm menu.

Step 7

Tap the "Sound" tab. Select your preferred alarm notification tone from the list of available sounds. The iPhone previews the sound when you select the tone. Tap "Back" when you're satisfied with the alarm tone.

Step 8

Swipe the tab next to "Snooze" to the "On" position if you want the alarm to repeat every few minutes after the set notification time.

Step 9

Tap the "Label" tab. Type your preferred name for the alarm notification in the input field, and then tap the "Back" button.

Step 10

Press the "Home" button under the display screen to return to the iPhone's home screen. The iPhone displays a small clock icon in the notification area above the screen to indicate an active alarm.
