How to Send Email in Microsoft Windows Live Mailby eHow Contributor
Although you may have used email software programs before, Microsoft Windows Live Mail has its own procedures and protocol which may change the way you send email messages. However, in a few steps you can gain confidence using Windows Live Mail and deal with problems as they arise.
Navigate to the Windows Live Sign In page (login.live.com). Enter your Windows Live ID and password in the relevant fields and click "Sign In." If you don't have a Windows Live ID, click on the "Sign Up" button.
Click on "New Message" in the far left hand corner to send email in Windows Live. It will be either in a button or appear as a drop-down menu choice on Windows live. If you do not see it or the email software fails to maximize, go to Step 3. Otherwise, move on to Step 5.
Right-click on the task bar if the New Message choice fails to appear or Windows Live email won't maximize but you see it displayed on the bottom. Click "Maximize" in the "Properties" menu.
Look for "New Message" and repeat the first two steps if you needed to proceed to Step 3. Skip over this step if Windows Live appears on your computer screen.
Type an email message, including an optional subject and attachments. Then click "Send" in the upper left-hand corner of your Microsoft Windows Live email screen.
