My Samsung DLP TV Has No Soundby Tyson Cliffton
Samsung DLP TVs are projection TVs that range in size from 40 inches diagonally to more than 70 inches. If you suddenly can't hear audio on your Samsung DLP TV, you can troubleshoot the problem in a variety of ways. More often than not, you can solve the problem on your own without seeking professional help.
External Device Volume
If the volume is turned all the way down on an external device, it doesn't matter how loud your Samsung DLP TV is turned up, you still won't be able to hear anything. If the external device has a volume control, ensure that it is turned up at least partially so you will be able to control the volume of the audio a little bit through your TV.
Ensure that you connected audio cables to your TV for an external source device. In addition, make sure those cables are connected to the audio jacks that correspond with the input where the video cables are connected. Further, ensure the audio cables are pushed firmly into the audio jacks. If the connectors are loosely plugged in, the audio feed could cut in and out.
Move the antenna if you are trying to pull a channel in on your Samsung DLP TV over the air and there is no audio. Just because you have a clear image does not always mean you are pulling in a good audio feed. Also, position the antenna so it is not pointed in such a way that the signal could be blocked by trees, buildings or any other obstacles.
Press the "Mute" button on the remote control that came with your Samsung DLP TV if you muted the TV and forgot or muted the TV on accident. Alternatively, press the "VOL+" button; if the volume is muted, pressing this button automatically un-mutes the TV and returns it to the volume it was before it was muted.
