How to Run CutePDF on a Terminal Server

CutePDF is a is a free software program that allows you to author Portable Document Format (PDF) files that can be read using Adobe Reader. It can be installed on all versions of Windows released since Windows 98. CutePDF supports both 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems. If you have a Windows computer acting as a Terminal Server, you can install CutePDF on it from an administrative account and then access it from any user on the machine.

Click "Start" and type "mstsc.exe" without quotes. Press "Enter."

Enter the IP address or domain name of your Terminal Server in the Terminal Server Client (Remote Desktop Client) window that appears on the screen. Click "Connect."

Enter a username and password for an administrative account and log into the system.

Download the CutePDF software from the Resources link included below. Double-click the downloaded file to launch the CutePDF Writer setup wizard.

Click "Next" and review the software agreement. If you accept, click "I accept the agreement" and then click "Next."

Remove the check mark in the box asking you to install third-party toolbars if you do not wish to have them installed. Then click "Next."

Click "Install" to install CutePDF Writer.

Click "Start" then type "CutePDF Writer" in the Start menu search bar on your terminal server. Press "Enter" to launch the program. You have now launched CutePDF on a terminal server.
