The Delphi SkyFi3 satellite radio receiver has two types of resets. A soft reset is useful when the receiver freezes and the controls no longer work. The receiver's software is rebooted when you perform a soft reset, and your settings and data are not deleted. A hard reset, or factory reset, deletes all of your settings and, if you choose, all of your data, which is useful if you plan on giving the SkyFi3 to someone else.

Soft Reset

Step 1

Press and hold the "Mode" button to shut down the SkyFi3, and then press and hold the "Mode" button a second time to turn the receiver back on. Rebooting the device in this fashion is similar to a soft reset. You may find that the "Mode" button does not work when the SkyFi3 is frozen and need to perform a soft reset.

Step 2

Push and hold the "Volume" button on the right side of the receiver.

Step 3

Press and release the "Mode" button while continuing to hold the "Volume" button to perform a soft reset. The SkyFi3 turns off and on again by itself.

Hard Reset

Step 1

Press the "Menu" button to open the main menu.

Step 2

Push the down arrow button to highlight "Settings," and then press the ">/||" button, which is located in the middle of the arrow buttons, to open the Settings menu.

Step 3

Select "Setup" and then "Set Defaults."

Step 4

Highlight "Restore Settings Only" if you only want to reset the settings or "Restore and Erase" if you want to reset the settings and delete all information from the SkyFi3, and press ">/||." A confirmation screen appears.

Step 5

Press ">/||" to confirm resetting the receiver.
