How to Remove Silverlight Manually

by Rita Wood

Silverlight is a Microsoft software application similar to Adobe Flash Player and it runs multimedia, graphics and animation. The program offers support for a variety of software, including: Windows Media Player, Windows Media Audio, Internet Explorer, web cam and microphone. If you want to uninstall the software, you can do so through the Control Panel.

Click "Start," then select "Control Panel" and open the "Programs" window. Click the "View installed updates" check box in the left pane.

Look through the list of installed updates and find Microsoft Silverlight updates.

Select the oldest Microsoft Silverlight update and click "Uninstall."

Find the next Microsoft Silverlight update and uninstall. Start with the oldest, move up to the newest, and uninstall one at a time.
