How to Remove Safari From an iMac

by Garrett Genet

Removing applications from the Mac operating system has been designed to be simple and easy. Unlike "Internet Explorer," which is integrated with Windows, the Safari browser has no such limitations. While it does come installed on all Mac systems, it can be removed just like any other application; you simply need the administrative rights to do it. Make sure you have another browser installed, however, otherwise you'll be unable to browse the Web.

Open your hard drive from the desktop.

Select "Applications" and find "Safari" in the list.

Click "Safari" and drag it to the "Trash." When the system prompts you to confirm your choice, do so.
