How to Reinstall Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

by Elvis Michael

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a user-friendly utility that scans for and removes malicious data from your computer. Its main features include the manual removal of threats such as spyware, adware, viruses and worms. Other functions allow you to set scheduled updates and scans, as well as real-time protection from malicious threats before they infect your system. If you want to reinstall the software due to a general malfunction, you may run its installation procedure without uninstalling the previous version.

1

Obtain the Malwarebytes Anti-malware installation file from its official website and save it to your computer.

2

Close all open or active applications prior to initializing the installation procedure.

3

Read the end-user license agreement and click "Next." Also, read the list of changes and bug fixes on the subsequent menu, then click "Next" to proceed.

4

Accept the default installation folder and click "Next."

5

Click "Next" once more to create a Start menu entry. Otherwise, select "Don't Create a Start Menu Folder."

6

Check the boxes to create a program shortcut on the desktop, and within the Quick Launch portion of the taskbar. Leave these options unchecked if you do not want to create such shortcuts.

7

Click "Next" to confirm all selected actions, then click "Install" to proceed. Click "Finish" once the installation copies all necessary files.
