How to Reinstall McAfee Security Center for AT&T U-Verse Internet

The AT&T U-Verse Internet package is an all-in-one communications and entertainment package that can include DSL Internet access, television, wireless and phone services. For those that include Internet services, AT&T features the McAfee Security Center malicious software protection for download and installation. If the McAfee Security Center does not appear to be working properly, uninstall and then reinstall the McAfee Security Center to resolve the issue.

Click the "Start" button on the Windows 7 taskbar and click "Control Panel" and then double-click "Programs and Features." Click on the "McAfee Security Center" item in the list of programs displayed.

Click the "Uninstall" item located directly above the programs list. Confirm that you wish to uninstall the McAfee Security Center software. Reboot the computer once the installation has been completed.

Click the "Start" button on the Windows 7 desktop taskbar and click "Internet Explorer." Type the URL for the AT&T; U-Verse McAfee Security Center download site (att.net) into the address bar near the top of the "Windows Internet Explorer" window that appears. Press the "Enter" key.

Click the "Download" button. Enter your AT&T; U-Verse account credentials when prompted and press the "Enter" key. Confirm that your computer system meets the minimum resource requirements listed on the web page. If not sure, click the "Start" button then right click "Computer" and click "Properties" and compare the information displayed in the window that appears to the system requirements information on the web page.

Click the "Get Your Subscription" button. Click the "English Download" if you prefer the English language or click the "Espanol Descargar" button if you prefer the Spanish language option.

Read the "End User License Agreement" displayed and if you agree with the terms click the "I Agree" button. Note the serial number displayed on the web page. Click the "Download" button. Click "Run" in the window that appears.

Click the "Run" button in the "Internet Explorer -- Security Warning" window that displays. Click the "Continue" button if prompted to confirm that you wish to install the software.

Click the "Complete (Recommended)" radio button and click the "Next" button. Click the "Next" button after the progress bars display that downloads have completed. Click the "Finish" button.
