Universal remote control

A replacement for the many remote controls that can clutter your entertainment center, the Philips universal remote can be used with all of your devices at once. You can program your remote and access your television, VCR, DVD player and stereo from one remote, eliminating the need for three or four when watching a movie or entertaining guests. Programming and reprogramming can be done in just minutes from your living room using just the Philips remote.

Power on the device that you wish to program to your remote. Press and hold the "Code Search" button on your remote. Release the button once the remote's red indicator light begins flashing.

Press the mode button for the device that you are programming, such as "TV," "VCR" or "DVD."

Press the channel button (for programming a television) or the play button (for any other device) continuously until the device responds. This may take up to a couple hundred presses of the button until the device responds.

Press the "Mute" button on your remote once the device responds and your new code will be stored to the remote, ready to use immediately.
