How to Play a PowerPoint Show Without PowerPoint

by Carter McBride

Ease your mind about setting up a presentation by keeping a copy of Microsoft PowerPoint viewer. Using Microsoft PowerPoint viewer, you can view a PowerPoint presentation on a computer that does not have Microsoft PowerPoint installed. The viewer does not have the functionality of PowerPoint, such as the editing features; it only allows you to view the presentation.

1

Download Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer from Microsoft.com (link in resources).

2

Run the installation file. During installation, the installer will automatically associate *.ppt files with the viewer program.

3

Double-click on the PowerPoint presentation to open the presentation with Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer.
