The "MSI" file extension is a Microsoft installation file. It's used to help install programs in Microsoft Windows. These files will usually install without downloading any other software in Windows, but sometimes there can be a problem when you try to install a program that's using an MSI file. This is usually because you don't have the program Windows Installer on your computer, which is what uses the MSI file.

1

Get a copy of l Windows Installer (see "Resources"). Click "Download Now" on the site to get the installation file. Double-click on it to install it on your computer.

2

Click "Next" through each screen of the installation until the program installs.

3

Double-click on your MSI file and Windows Installer will automatically load and open the file for you.
