How to Manage Your Yahoo Web Page

by ChristopherVitanza

Managing a "My Yahoo!" web page is a fairly straightforward task that should only take a few minutes to complete successfully. "My Yahoo!" is a portion of the Yahoo! website that allows users to customized their experience to their interests. The webpage can be tailored in a number of ways including changes in appearance, adding and deleting content links and customizing local news and weather.

Open a web browser and navigate to Yahoo.com. Once the main page loads, click the "My Yahoo!" tab at the top of the screen. If you have a Yahoo! account, enter in the user name and password associated with the account and click "Sign In." If you do not have an account, choose a user name and password by clicking on the "Create Account" link.

Click on the "Add Content" tab at the top of the screen. Click on a tab to add it to the content links that appear on the left side of the screen. Click the "I'm Done" link at the bottom of the menu once all desired links have been added.

Click the "Change Appearance" link if you would like to change the layout and background on the page. On this page, you can select an overall theme change for the "My Yahoo!" page or can just select to change the background color that appears on-screen.

Select the "More Options" tab if any additional changes are needed. This page allows users to enable article previewing, a "My Yahoo!" reader that enables the reading of full texts in a separate window and other similar options to enhance the overall web experience. Select any changes and click the "I'm Done" link at the bottom of the page.
