How to Make a Bootable Backup Diskby Erick Kristian
A bootable backup disk can easily be made using native Windows software "'Backup and Restore Center." The bootable backup disk can then be burned to a CD or DVD and used to restore the computer. The backup disk can store all the installed programs, files and information on the computer. This can save time during the restore process, as software will not need to be installed again.
Click "Start," "Control Panel" and then "Backup and Restore Center."
Insert a blank DVD into the computer's DVD drive.
Click on "Back Up Files."
Select the optical drive as the destination for the backup. Click "Next."
Select the files to be backed up. Click "Next."
Click "Save Settings and Start Backup." The program will now begin creating a bootable backup disk.
