How to Keep Chrome on Top

By Michael Butler

When watching a movie online or just surfing the Internet, you may want to open up another application. In Windows, the other application often comes up above your Chrome window. With some browsers, you have the option to keep the browser window on top so that you do not miss something and can use both applications simultaneously. Chrome does not have this option. However, you can install a free utility to keep Chrome (or any other window) on top.

Step 1

Download "Always on Top" from dropbox.com.

Step 2

Double-click the ".zip" file you downloaded. Click "Extract" and choose a location on your hard drive to extract the program.

Step 3

Double-click "always-on-top.exe" whenever you want to keep a Chrome window on top.

Step 4

Open Chrome. Press "Ctrl-Space" while Chrome is the active window.
