The iPod Shuffle's miniature size lets you take it anywhere.

The tiny, clip-on iPod Shuffle lets you store up to 2GB of music to play hundreds of songs during the battery's 15-hour life. The iPod Shuffle also support Disk Mode which allows you to use the device for portable storage. To tell if the iPod Shuffle has exhausted its storage capacity, you need to connect it to your computer and view the device in iTunes.

1

Connect the iPod Shuffle to your computer using your USB cable. First generation iPod Shuffles have a built-in USB connector, which is accessible by removing the cap.

2

Launch iTunes and click the iPod Shuffle from the Devices list.

3

Click "Music" and look at the bottom of the window. ITunes displays the iPod Shuffle's capacity, used space and amount of free space. This information is displayed textually and graphically. If the graphic is completely filled with color, the iPod Shuffle is full. If the amount of free space is close to zero, the iPod Shuffle is full.
