By Chappy Sinclair

The Targus 32 in 1 Memory Card Reader is a USB based, external memory card reader. SD, CF, Memory Stick and MMC are just a few of the support memory formats. The Targus 32 in 1 Memory Card Reader is a portable device that is compatible with any computer that has USB inputs. Using your computer's file management system (Windows Explorer), you can easily transfer files to and from cards placed inside the memory card reader.

Step 1

Connect the Targus 32 in 1 Memory Card Reader to any available USB port on your computer. After a few seconds, your computer will detect the device. Insert the driver CD into your computer's disc drive. Click "Next." Click "Finish" to begin the driver installation.

Step 2

Insert the memory card into the Targus 32 in 1 Memory Card Reader.

Step 3

Click the "Start" icon in the Windows taskbar. Click "My Computer." The reader will be listed as two different drives, the F and G drives. Depending on which type of memory card you have inserted, you will use one or the other when selecting drives. If you're not sure which one it is, try them both. One will give you an error and the other will open the root storage directory (where all of the files are stored) of the card.

Step 4

Drag and drop the files that you want to place on the card into the root storage directory. If you want to transfer files from the card onto your computer, right click the files you want to transfer, click "Send To" and select the destination on your computer (e.g. My Documents or Desktop).
