How to Install Java 64 Bit

If you are using the 64-bit version of a Windows operating system, you have the option of surfing the Internet using the Internet Explorer 64-bit Web browser. However, you need the Java scripting language to view certain websites properly. The Java website has a 64-bit version that you can install on Internet Explorer 64-bit.

Open the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer by clicking "Start", "All Programs" and "Internet Explorer (64-bit)".

Go to Java.com

Click the "Free Java Download" link. The Java website will now direct you to the "64-bit Java for Windows -- Internet Explorer" webpage.

Click the "Start Free Download" link and click "Save". After downloading the Java 64-bit Setup, click "Run".

Click the "Install" button on the Java 64-bit Setup "Welcome" screen to install Java 64-bit.

Click the "Close" button to exit the Java 64-bit Setup.
