To purchase a battery or replacement part for a Kyocera mobile phone, or to obtain technical support for the device, you need to provide its model number. You can find the model number of Kyocera phones in several places, including on your cellular bill and in your carrier’s online tool account settings. You can also locate the number on the original packaging, and sometimes in the user manual. The model number is also printed on a label inside the phone, and the Phone Information or About Phone screen in the device Settings menu also displays the model number.

Online Account Tool

Log in to your carrier’s Web-based account tool with your phone number and password, then select the menu option for device information to find your device model number. You can also check your most recent bill. The model number of your phone should be listed along with the device model name and your plan details.

Packaging, Receipts, User Manual

The original packaging and receipts for Kyocera phones usually contain one or more labels containing the device name and model number. The model number may also be listed on one of the first few pages of the user manual for your device; for other models, only a series number is provided in the manual.

Phone Settings

You can find the model number of your device in the About Phone or Phone Information section of the Settings menu. For Android devices, launch the “Settings” app, then tap “About Phone.” Depending on the version of Android that the device is running, you may need to tap the “Phone Identity” tab. The model number is listed under the Model Number label. On non-Android Kyocera devices, open the Settings menu, then tap the “Phone Information” or a similar option to view the model number.

Under the Battery

To find the model number from underneath the phone battery, first power off the device. Remove the back cover from the phone, then lift the battery out of the battery holder. A label that includes the serial number, model number and IMEI is pasted under the battery. Note that the characters on the label here are very small, so you may need a visual assistive device, such as a magnifying glass, to view the numbers.

Kyocera Support Center

If you check all of the usual locations for the model number with no avail, contact Kyocera customer support for more help (see Resources). Open a live chat session with a support representative 24 hours a day, or call the 1-800 support line between the hours of 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, seven days a week. You can also send an email to Kyocera support from the Email Contact Form (see Resources).
