What Happens When I Disinvite Someone to an Event on Facebook?

When you create an event on Facebook, you can invite as many friends as you like. If you change your mind about what friends you want to attend the event, you can remove them any time after you have invited them, whether or not they have accepted your invitation. Facebook does not notify friends that they have been uninvited, but they will not receive future notifications and Facebook removes the information from their list of upcoming events.

Step 1

Log in to your Facebook account. Click "Events" in the Favorites list and select your event.

Step 2

Click the header of the section containing the name of the person you want to uninvite from your event, such as "Invited" or "Going."

Step 3

Click the "X" next to the name of the person you want to remove from the event. Click "Okay" on the prompt window that asks if you are sure you want to remove this friend.

Step 4

Click "Close" on the Guests window. The friend you uninvited no longer appears in the list of guests.
