How to Format the Hard Disk

by Lyan Uaha

Formatting the hard disk would delete all the files and folders present on it forever. Formatting is useful when there are corrupt files present on the system that you are not able to delete. The whole file system on the hard disk would be recreated. The Windows operating system has a built-in utility to format the hard disk.

Go to "Start," and click on "My Computer."

Right-click on the hard disk drive that you want to format and then click on "Format."

Click on the "Start" button in the "Format Local Disk" dialog box and then wait for the process to complete.
