How to Get Facebook off Your Phone

by Shawn Farner

Facebook, one of the world's most well-known social networks, is widely used from computers and mobile devices alike. Signing up for Facebook Mobile enables you to receive updates from the site via text message, ensuring that you never miss news from your friends. If the text messages have become too much and you'd rather take Facebook Mobile off of your mobile phone, you can do so in just a few steps.

Open the text messaging application on your cell phone.

Create a new text message and, in the To field, key in "32665" (FBOOK).

Type "Off" as the body of the text message and send the message. This deactivates Facebook Mobile on your cell phone.
