How to Turn on and off the Cookie Blocker

You can set a browser's cookie monitoring settings to accept (enable) or reject (disable) cookies. Your browser can notify you when a cookie is necessary for the functioning of a particular website. A cookie is a text file that personalizes your settings for webpages, so the next time you access that website it remembers your preferences. Cookies do not run programs without your permission or infect your system with viruses.
Mozilla Firefox
Step 1
Click the "Tools" menu and then "Options."
Step 2
Click the "Privacy" icon.
Step 3
Select "Use custom settings for history" in the "Firefox will" section.
Step 4
Click the "Accept cookies from sites" check box to enable or disable cookies.
Step 5
Click the "OK" button to apply the changes and close the dialog box.
Internet Explorer
Step 1
Click the "Tools" menu and then "Internet Options."
Step 2
Click the "Privacy" tab.
Step 3
Click the slider and move it up to block all cookies or down to allow all cookies.
Step 4
Click the "OK" button to apply the changes; this also closes the dialog box.
