Microsoft Windows 7 Release Candidate RC is available as a free download, here's how to get it.
You don't have to be a beta tester to download Windows 7 RC. I've included a direct link in the resources section below along with some tips that you should know about after downloading the OS.

Remember that this is "Pre release" software meaning that you are essentially testing the software for Microsoft since your version will send data back to MS.
Release candidates are usually stable and but you should back up your PC just in case.
Windows 7 RC will expire on June 1, 2010
There is no technical support, so you'll be relying on online forums.
Minimum PC requirements are; - 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor - 1 GB RAM (32-bit) / 2 GB RAM (64-bit) - 16 GB available disk space (32-bit) / 20 GB (64-bit) - DirectX 9 graphics processor with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver.
A link to the Windows 7 Upgrade Adviser is listed below. According to Microsoft this will "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor scans your PC's system, programs and devices to check if it's able to run Windows 7. After a few minutes, the report will let you know if your PC meets the system requirements, if there are any known compatibility issues with your programs and devices, and will also provide guidance on your upgrade options to Windows 7."
