How Do I Rotate a Video File in Nero?

by Will Conley

Nero is a suite of software centered around disc authoring. Nero Vision, a video editing application, is part of that suite. One of the useful editing functions available in the latest version of Nero Vision is the ability to rotate a video or section of video. Many have found the rotation function difficult to locate. The trick is to apply a transformation effect and then modify the effect to produce a rotation effect of 90, 180, or 270 degrees. This guide shows you how to do that.

Launch Nero 9 Vision, the video editing application from the Nero suite of software.

Load the desired video file in Nero Vision by going to "File" -> "Open" and browsing for the video file. Select the file and click "Open."

Select the section of the video you wish to rotate on the timeline. Select the entire timeline if you wish to rotate the entire video.

Select "Video Effects" -> "Others" -> "Transform."

Double-click on the "Transform" effect in the timeline and select "Rotation." The video will be rotated.

Repeat Step 5 as needed until the rotation is to your liking.
