How do I Log off Facebook on My Cell?

by Amy McClain

Facebook's mobile version can be accessed by nearly any cellphone with Web access. Some smartphones, such as BlackBerry and Android devices, also have a Facebook application that gives you access to your profile on the go. After you log into your account, you stay logged in even after you close your browser or exit the application. For maximum security, you need to use the sign-out function to prevent easy access to your profile.

Logging out of Facebook Mobile

Open your phone's browser and go to m.facebook.com. If you are logged in, your profile page loads. Otherwise, enter your email address and password and click "Log In."

Scroll to the top-right corner of the page. Click "More." A pop-up window appears.

Scroll to the bottom of the pop-up window. Click "Log Out." You are routed to the homepage after being logged out.

Logging out of the Facebook Application

Click or touch the "Facebook" icon, located in your phone's application folder or list. If you have previously used the application, your profile page opens. Otherwise, enter your email address and password, then select "Log In."

Press your "Menu" button. A pop-up window appears.

Click "Log Out." Confirm your selection by clicking "Yes."
