A PDF splitter application can be used to divide large PDF documents into smaller files.

PDF documents range in size from a signal page to book length. The larger the file the more cumbersome it is to download, send through email, scan and perform other tasks. If you have a large PDF document, dividing it into parts can make it easier to deal with. Adobe Reader, the application used to read PDF files, cannot be used to split a PDF document. You can use Adobe Acrobat to perform this task. This application is quite pricey however. Alternatively there are a few free PDF splitter applications you can use to divide large PDF documents.
