How to Delete Movies From a Hard Drive

by Tim Mammadov

One of the many great things about personal computers is that you can watch your favorite movies at any time and share them with your friends. The current technology even allows you to hook up your computer to a TV or a projector. You can also burn the movies to a DVD and then delete them from your hard drive to have more space available.

Locate the movie file, usually with the file extension of .avi or .dvx. If you are not sure of the location of the file use the "Search" feature to locate it.

Click on the file to highlight it.

Press "Delete" on your keyboard.

Click "Yes" on the confirmation screen. This action will place the file in the Recycle Bin on your desktop.

Double-click on the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop to open it.

Click on the movie file to highlight it.

Press "Delete" on your keyboard.

Click "Yes" to confirm removal of the file from your hard drive.
