How to Defragment My Toshiba

by Lindsay Howell

Toshiba designs and builds both desktop computers for home users and laptop computers for users who travel. No matter what kind of Toshiba computer you have, the hard drive contained on the computer is defragmented the same way. A defragmentation is placed on the operating system so the hard drive can be cleaned correctly.

Open the Start menu by clicking the blue circle in the bottom of the screen.

Click on the "Search" box at the bottom of the Start menu.

Type in the words "Disk Defragmenter."

Click on the "Disk Defragmenter" option under the "Programs" tab above the "Search" box.

Click "Defragment Disk."

Click "Close" after the program states that the defragment is complete.
