How to Copy a Link From YouTube & Paste It on Facebook With an iPhone

With iOS 6, Apple deeply integrated Facebook into the iPhone but removed the beloved YouTube app from among its staples. Regardless, posting links to interesting, entertaining or your own YouTube videos on Facebook remains straightforward and painless. The profound Facebook feature enables you to post directly from many apps on your iPhone -- including a YouTube app that you can now download for free from the App Store. It simplifies and automates the copying and pasting of video links from YouTube to Facebook, although you can still do so manually between their apps and websites if you wish.
Manual Copy and Paste
Step 1
Touch the “YouTube” app on your home screen to launch it. Alternatively, tap the “Safari” app to head for YouTube.com.
Step 2
Navigate to the YouTube video that you’d like to share on Facebook. Search for it by name using the “Magnifying Glass” icon on the upper right or use the three-bar “Index” icon on the upper left to pull it from playlists, history and favorites. Tap to select the desired video.
Step 3
Touch the curved-arrow “Action” icon. It appears on the upper right corner of the video within the YouTube app or on the bottom of your screen on the YouTube website.
Step 4
Choose “Share” from the pop-up menu in the YouTube app, followed by “Copy Link.” On the YouTube website, simply tap “Copy.” Then, exit YouTube by pressing the “Home” button.
Step 5
Navigate to your Facebook account. Tap the official “Facebook” app if you have it. Otherwise, launch the “Safari” app to cruise to Facebook’s mobile website at Touch.Facebook.com or full website at Facebook.com. Log in to your account.
Step 6
Tap the “Status” icon or field at the top of the Facebook screen. A blank field that asks “What’s on your mind?” expands to fill the upper half of the screen.
Step 7
Tap twice within the blank field and then choose “Paste” from the pop-up menu to drop in your copied YouTube video link. Add a message to augment the link as needed.
Step 8
Touch the icon in the lower right corner of the status field to select your audience. Then, tap “Post” on the upper right to share the YouTube link.
Automatic Copy and Paste
Step 1
Tap the “Settings” app, followed by “Facebook.” Enter your Facebook username and password and then touch “Sign In.” Press the “Home” button to return to your home screen.
Step 2
Navigate to the desired video within the YouTube app or website. Tap to select it.
Step 3
Touch the curved-arrow “Action” icon. It appears on the upper right corner of the video within the YouTube app or on the bottom border on the YouTube website.
Step 4
Tap “Share” from the pop-up menu, followed by “Facebook” in the YouTube app. On the website, just choose “Facebook.”
Step 5
Touch the icon in the lower right corner of the Facebook post field to select your audience. Then tap “Post” on the upper right to share the YouTube link.
