Many karaoke players can be directly connected to a television set. However, there are other karaoke players that are stand-alone players and cannot be directly connected to a TV. One way to get around that flaw is to connect the karaoke player to a DVD player.

Step 1

Plug one end of the RCA cable into the back of the karaoke player. The RCA cable is a typical red, white and yellow cable. Match the colors of the cable to the colors on the back of your karaoke player.

Step 2

Locate the input jacks on the back of your DVD player. Not all DVD players will have input jacks, but you will have to have a DVD player with these jacks in order to connect your karaoke player.

Step 3

Plug the other end of the RCA cable into the input jacks of the DVD player.

Step 4

Plug another set of RCA cables from the output of the DVD player into the input jacks on your television. You have now successfully connected your karaoke player to a DVD player and can view your karaoke discs on your television.
