The clock on the Vizio VW42LF HDTV is automatically configured as soon as the TV is connected to an antenna, cable or satellite connection. However, the time zone and daylight saving time settings have to be configured manually before the actual time displayed by the TV's clock is correct. The TV settings menu contains all the settings relating to the time zone and daylight saving. Once the setting(s) have been changed, the time displayed in the clock will change immediately.

Step 1

Turn on your Vizio VW42LF HDTV and press the "Menu" button on the remote control.

Step 2

Use the right-arrow button on the remote to scroll to the "TV" settings menu and press the down-arrow button to display the settings contained in the menu.

Step 3

Press the up and down arrow buttons to scroll to the "Time Zone" setting. Press the left and right arrow buttons as necessary until your time zone appears and then scroll to the "Daylight Saving" setting. Select either "On" or "Off" and then press the "LAST" button on the remote until the menu closes.
