How to Change Your Background on a Logitech Webcam
By Ryan Menezes
Logitech's QuickCam software includes a feature called Privacy Shade, which changes the background of your broadcast image. Privacy Shade replaces your background with a still image, such as a landscape. Changing your background can help hide your office from customers or clients if your environment is messy or otherwise embarrasses you.
Step 1
Start Logitech's QuickCam software, which is located in the Start menu's All Programs folder.
Step 2
Click the shade icon, which is located below the icon of a mask, to open a gallery of alternate backgrounds.
Step 3
Click one of the included images. Alternatively, click "Browse" to open a dialog box, and then navigate to and select an image from your computer that you want to set as your webcam background.

- This gimmick may unnerve others in the conversation, and if you wish to hide your surroundings, you can also simply start a voice call.
