How to Change an Address Barby Contributing Writer
Changing the address bar of your Internet Explorer browser is a simple process that should not take longer than a few minutes to complete successfully. Changing an address bar allows you to choose which search engine or website you want to conduct your searches.
Open your web browser and allow the software to fully load. Click on the "View" tab at the top of the screen and click on "Explorer Bar" from the subsequent window.
Click on the tab marked "Search" or "Search Button" to activate a side panel with the choices of address bars available to you. If you notice a small dog at the bottom of your side panel, you will have to click "Change Preferences" or "Change Internet Search Behavior" before the address bar choices show up.
Select the type of address bar you want to use and click the "OK" button at the bottom of the page to save your changes. Most web browsers give you the options of the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, Ask Jeeves, etc.). Choose the option that works best for your personal needs.
