How to Convert CBZ & CBR Comic Book Files to PDF

When promoting your business through social media, promotions or advertisements, getting a professional or amateur artist to draw a comic-style ad can make your campaign both fun and eye-catching. If the artist saves your promotional comics in CBR or CBZ format, which are largely used for comic files, you may not be aware that these are compression files similar to RAR and ZIP formats. You can convert them to PDFs for easier printing and sharing.

Jomic

Download Jomic from SourceForge website. This is a free program.

Double-click the Jomic installation file in your Downloads folder. Click "Run" and select "Next" and "I agree" to complete installation of the program.

Open Jomic. Select the "File" menu and click "Convert." A window will pop up.

Click "Add" and browse to locate the CBZ or CBR file you wish to convert. Select "Open."

Check the "PDF" box under the "Comic Format" menu.

Take note of the target folder location. This is where your new file will save. Edit this location if desired.

Click "Convert." Find the PDF version of your file in the target folder.

STDU Converter

Download the free trial of the STDU Converter program. You will not need to buy the program if you want to convert a few files, but considering purchasing the software if you frequently convert CBZ and CBR files.

Double-click on the STDU Converter file icon in your "Downloads" folder. Click "Run" and select "Next" and "I agree" until you finish the installation process.

Click "Launch" and "Use trial" to open the STDU Converter.

Click "Browse" and locate the CBZ or CBR file you wish to convert to PDF. Click "Open."

Click "Browse" next to the "Destination PDF File" box and select the target location where you would like your new PDF file saved. Click "Save."

Click "Convert." After a moment, the PDF file will appear in your chosen location. The STDU Converter only converts to PDFs, so you will not have to specify PDF before you convert.

ComicRack

Download the free ComicRack free e-reader program. Click "Run" to launch the installation. Select "Next" and "I agree" to install the program.

Launch ComicRack.

Select "File" and "Open." Browse for the CBZ or CBR file you wish to convert and select "Open."

Select "File" and "Save as."

Select "PDF" under "File Format." Click "Save."
