Hughes satellite TV service is available in all 50 states. If you wish to cancel your service for any reason, you can do so by contacting the company. The terms of your cancellation will vary depending on how long you've had the service. Here is a quick guide on how to cancel your service.
Have your account number handy before you contact the company. The cancellation process will be much faster if you have this information nearby.
Cancel early, if possible. If you ordered the service and it has not yet been installed, you will not be charged anything. Simply make sure that you cancel before the installation process has begun. If you cancel your service within 30 days of its activation, your cancellation terms with vary according to the subscription level you have. If you made an upfront purchase and are a "Home," "Pro" or "ProPlus" subscribe, you will be refunded $200 after you return the outdoor transmitter and modem to the company. If you have the "Elite" or "Elite Plus" subscription levels, you will be refunded $300 after you return those items. You do not need to return the outdoor antenna or mount. If you made a promotional option order, expect to pay a $400 termination and installation fee if you cancel within 30 days. You should return your equipment for a $200 refund as they allow it. If you cancel after 30 days on this plan, expect to pay an additional $400 early termination fee, making your total cancellation price $800.
Know that if you made an upfront purchase, you will be charged a termination fee if you have had the service for longer than 30 days and cancel before your 24-month initial commitment has been met. All subscription levels are charged a $300 termination fee, and you may not return any of the equipment.
