A smaller Start Menu makes desktop icons more accessible

The Start Menu is the point at which most Windows users access their computer's applications and programs. When the Start Menu is opened, it can cover the desktop icons on the leftmost part of the screen. Learn how to make the Start Menu smaller.

Go to the Microsoft icon in the lower left-hand corner of the taskbar.

Right-click on the Microsoft icon.

Click on "Properties."

Click on the "Customize" button of the Start Menu tab.

Scroll down to the "Use large icons" checkbox; the list is in alphabetical order. Uncheck the box.

Click "Ok" then click "Apply."

Click "Ok."

Tip
