Although you can't move posts on personal Timelines ahead of more recent entries, Facebook includes a special feature for doing this on business pages. Pinned posts stay at the top of the page no matter how many later stories you add. An orange flag on the post marks it as pinned and further draws readers' attention to it. After a week, Facebook unpins the story, returning it to its default spot lower in the feed, but you can then pin it back in place an unlimited number of times.

Step 1

Open Facebook and log in with an account that has administrative control over your page.

Step 2

Click the page's name in the homepage's sidebar to open it and scroll down to a post.

Step 3

Hover your mouse pointer over the post and click the pencil icon to open a pop-up menu.

Step 4

Click "Pin to Top" to move the post to the top of the page.
