Can I Convert My Computer Jack Speakers to USB?

by Greyson Ferguson

Most computer speakers directly connect to an audio-out connection port. This is either located at the rear of a desktop computer or on the side of a laptop. However, if you are already using the lone audio-out port, you may want to convert the current computer-jack speakers into a USB connection. This is done with the help of an audio-out-to-USB connection adapter.

Insert the USB end of the adapter into one of the USB ports on the computer (it does not matter which port you use).

Plug the speakers into the "Audio-Out" jack, located on the end of the USB adapter you just inserted.

Connect the speakers to a power outlet, and turn the speakers on.

Play a file on the computer that requires audio. The audio will now play through the connected computer speakers.
