When you burn a CD with CD-Text, the track name and artist name of a song will be displayed on the LED screen on the front of a compatible CD player as the song plays. Not every CD player is capable of doing this, which is why Windows Media Player does not have the option enabled by default. You can, however, turn on this option at any time before you burn a disc to make sure CD-Text is included.

Click "Tools" in Windows Media Player. Click "Options" from the "Tools" menu.

Click the "Burn" tab. Check the "CD Text" box and click "OK."

Click the "Burn" button at the top of Windows Media Player. Drag the audio songs you want to burn into this window. These can either be songs in your Windows Media Player library or elsewhere on your hard drive. Put a blank CD-R in your CD burner.

Click "Start Burn" to burn your CD with CD-Text in Windows Media Player.
