How to Burn a CD From Picasa

The digital photo management software Picasa provides two methods for burning your photo collections to CD. The gift CD tool enables you to create stylish slide shows of your photos that can be played on a computer or TV. The CD backup tool enables you to create full backups of your photo archive for safe keeping. Whatever your needs, the CD burning tools in Picasa feature simple interfaces that allow you to burn a CD with your photos in just a few mouse clicks.

Gift CD

Click "Start" and type "Picasa" into the search box at the bottom of the menu, then press "Enter".

Insert a blank CD into the CD/DVD-ROM.

Select the folder(s) you want to burn to a gift CD.

Click "Create" and select "Gift CD".

Click "Add More" to add additional folders to the gift CD.

Click the check box beside "Include Slideshow" to burn the pictures as a slideshow that plays when the disc is inserted into a computer or DVD player.

Select the size of the photos from the "Photo Size" drop-down menu.

Type a name for the CD and then click "Burn Disc".

Backup CD

Click "Start" and type "Picasa" into the search box at the bottom of the menu, then press "Enter".

Insert a blank CD into the CD/DVD-ROM.

Click "Tools" and select "Backup Pictures".

Click "New Set".

Type a name for the backup set, click the radio button beside "CD or DVD backup" and then click "Create".

Click the check boxes beside folders you would like to include in the backup and then click "Burn".
